Regional and National Series 2019

Select races across one country or region make up a Spartan Series. For details about each of the 2019 Spartan Regional/National Series please check our Championship page.

Regional and National Series events can earn you qualification into our World Championship, by competing in the Elite or Age Group Categories. For full details on World Championship qualification, please see the corresponding article about World Championship qualification.

The Regional / National Series offers:

  • Unique finisher medals for each race of the series (Elite and Age Group heats only)
  • Qualification opportunity for the 2019 Spartan World Championship (based on the overall Elite and Age Group rankings at the conclusion of the series)
  • Awards, Prizes and Series Championship titles. Awards and prizes will be distributed to top finishers in the Elite and Age Group heats. Prize money is only distributed in the Elite heat. For more details on what is offered in each Regional/National Series please visit the National Series Page.

Regional/National Series in Europe will be held, as follows

  • UK & Ireland Regional Series
  • France National Series
  • Spain National Series
  • Italy National Series
  • CEU Regional Series: Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovakia
  • DACH Regional Series: Germany, Austria, (Switzerland)

Important Rules for the Regional / National Series:

  • For Elite & Age Group Category: you do not have to race all races of the series to enter the overall ranking. All races are counting to the overall ranking, so of course the more races you race, the higher you might rank.
  • For Elite Category: you have to race the last race of the series to be eligible for prize money (category Elite). You do not have to finish the race, but you have to start the race.
  • For Elite & Age Group Category: Any prices and awards for the Series are only handed out at the final race during the awards ceremony.
  • If two racers have the same points at the final ranking of the series, they will be ranked both at the same position. For Awards or prize money this means:
    • Two winners: two first place awards. The two first placed racers share the total amount of prize money provided for 1st and 2nd place together. No second placed athlete in the ranking then.
    • Same applies for other positions in the same concept.

2019 Spartan World Championship qualifications will be based on the final rankings of the Regional/National Series. The individual series races do not qualify racers for the 2019 World Championship.
